  Lasting damage- By Sophie      hannah

Introduction

Lasting Damage by Sophie Hannah is a suspenseful psychological thriller features a murder scene that is only visible to one person on a walkthrough video of the property.

The narrative opens with a young woman sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night to avoid waking her husband. She then turns on her computer and explores a virtual tour of a house that is for sale in cambridge.

Author background

Sophie Hannah is a published poet and an established crime fiction author.

‘Lasting Damage’ is her sixth psychological crime thriller and is similar in style and approach to her previous offerings.

Plot summary

While watching a video tour of a house on a property website, Connie the young woman notices a dead woman. When she awakens her husband Kit to see it, the deceased woman has vanished from the house, and there are no suspicious signs or anything else. Is anyone going to trust her? We track her efforts to discover the truth about this. Records from Police Exhibits are inserted between the chapters, and the book opens with a brief chapter telling her that she will die as a result of the Gilpatricks—people she does not know. Therefore, the reader is being led to believe that there has been a death and that it might even be her own.

Writing style

Sophie Hannah's writing style is gripping and suspenseful, emphasizing psychological tension. It often delves into the complexities of the human mind, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and unease. Dialogues are crucial for character development, and the narrative frequently includes twists and turns to keep readers guessing. Descriptive language is used to evoke a sense of foreboding, and pacing is carefully managed to build and release tension strategically. Overall, her writing aims to immerse readers in a mysterious and psychologically intense experience.

Recommendation

If you appreciate reading about people's connections, untying suspense when everything is beautifully wound up, and mystery fiction where motive is important but proof is sparse, then you should definitely read this.I recommend you to read this .

Just a try.....😉

              Just a try.....😉

Again,I am happy to meet you all on kickbuzz. Today I am here with a delicious content.Just a try.....You may think what try is about.let's see.

Generally, young girls like to do many in young age. Many young girls like to do modelling, styling sewing etc.girls will like to search for such things and learn about them.I am also going to share one such thing with you.it's about my cooking experience.

Sometimes,I cook at home.I watch new recipes on YouTube and give them a shot. However, not all my cooking attempts turn out well. There are times when I mess up,and I get some teasing from my mom and dad.

Once I saw a recipe named "Rava kesari" on phone.and it looked  amazing. An idea appeared into my mind to give it on a try So,I  started to  following the recipe.First, I listed the ingredients needed for the recipe.I asked my dad to buy them.he laughed at me but he bought what I told him. After that,I started my cooking adventure.I took a frying pan, added some ghee and, roasted the cashews and raisins until raisins ballooned. Then I set aside.Next I added one cup 'rava' to the same frying pan.and I roasted it until it golden.and I moved it to a plate.

Next,I took 2 cups of water and boiled it.when it started to boil I added the roasted Rava gradually.but, the real mess-up happened right at this point. When I added the roasted rava gradually to the water,it quickly absorbed it,and I panicked, not knowing what to do next. But,I didn't care much about the taste until I actually tried it.I added some sugar and vanilla colouring. And I  mixed the roasted cashews and raisins together to rava. After It cooked well,I turned off the gas.Upon tasting,it was like ,"Ewwwwwwwww.........so bad!"Trying to salvage it,I added extra sugar, but it still tasted the same. After several attempts to make it more palatable,I gave up and transferred the "Rava kesari"onto a flat plate, cut it into pieces, and shared with everyone.Sadly,no one ate much due to the bad taste of my recipe. My mom and dad scolded me,and even my dad and younger sister teased me.I stared at my "Rava kesari",feeling so bummed about my cooking fail.later,my mom took it to my elder sister's place, and she couldn't stop laughing and mocking me while munching on it.I just let out a big sigh,thinking,"Haaaa.....What a stroke of bad luck "

Even after that cooking mess,I still can't resist trying new recipes. If I see something yummy on YouTube or something,I jump into cooking mode. When I decide to whip up a new dish,I casually check with my folks. My sisters,of course, yell,"No,We don't want to die!"I just laugh it off and get back to my kitchen experiments.

            I miss........

In this life,we meet many people. Many people walking side by side on our journey.some others just passes by.true cooperation happens with those who have close relationships with us and those who genuinely have our backs. Among those as our family, our parents play crucial role.

Even more importantly, dads are more just as important as moms.every girl sees her like a princess.it's not about waiting for a prince for herself.it's about that she is proud of her dad as a king.To me,my father is a king.and I am his loving princess.

If the people in a kingdom fall ill,the king will look out them.but, when the king falls sick, the whole kingdom goes upside-down.It's been seven years my dad is at home dealing with diabetes.

When I used to stay at home,I looked after my dad.most of the days were spent hanging out with my mom and dad. Not just about looking after my dad, I also talking with him. So,I talk with my mom and dad, help to them, make sure dad took his medicines on time, and I keep the medicines neatly. It kept me occupied.

After I started to study my higher studies,I get into an educational institute. After that,my old routine has flipped.I  wake up earlier in morning, and catch a bus,and go to the institute. Half of my day spent in there.hanging out with dad has taken a hit.

A dad's role as huge as mom's role. dad was  so much hustles for us.As his children,we owe him big time. I hope for more cool moments  with him like I've had before. As his loving princess,It's a big deal for me to take care of him and treat him like a king he is.
